I saw a great 145"-150" inch 9pt. while walking this farm last fall. He was locked down with a doe just out in front of the timber on the East property line.
This farm is all about location. Sometimes location makes up for a lack of timber. The neighboring property to the east is where a lot of the local deer are bedding. But guess where they are feeding? You guessed it! A lot of deer are feeding in our crop fields. This gives you plenty of opportunities when they are entering and exiting the fields to feed. Past lessees have had a lot of opportunities on this farm.
This lease has great access and several stand location options. There are plenty of trees for treestand locations on the East line. The fence line is approx. 10 - 12 feet inside the field edge. You could also set a ground blind up along the edge if you brushed it in early enough.
Nice mix of crops, hay/grass and timber. Lots of crop fields in this area with pockets of timber/woodland areas that are holding a good number of deer. Lots of deer sign seen while walking the property.
ATV's can be used for hunting related tasks only.
There are campgrounds nearby if you have a camper/rv or just want to pitch a tent. There is also lodging and food in nearby Martinsville.
